Open regedit and check DWORD DisableSafeMode in the following keys (if exists) HKLMSoftwareWow6432NodeMicrosoftOffice14.0OutlookSecurity or HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftOffice14.0OutlookSecurity, it should be 0.

A week or so ago, Outlook lost the familiar view format I have used for years. Still not fixed but then I noticed that Outlook is running in the Safe Mode so I thought it smart to start there. I looked for the update KB3114409. It isn’t there. Where do I go from there?

    • You could try this.
“Open regedit and check DWORD DisableSafeMode in the following keys (if exists) HKLMSoftwareWow6432NodeMicrosoftOffice14.0OutlookSecurity or HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftOffice14.0OutlookSecurity, it should be 0.”

      • David W Smith

security is not shown for either line. Anything else that I can check?

  • cikina

    awesome!!! thank you so much!!!!

  • Jocha IT Services

Its better to use MSIEXEC to remove this patch since its an “Office patch” and not for Windows.
